The Asia-Europe Editors’ Roundtable is a bi-annual event held in conjunction with the ASEM Summit. It creates exchange and networking opportunities for up to 20 editors-in-chief and senior journalists representing leading media agencies in Asia and Europe. Under the overarching theme of digital connectivity, the event will cover current issues on Asia-Europe relations, which will be addressed at the Summit.
The 8th ASEF Editors’ Roundtable will focus on connectivity between Asia and Europe as well as the media’s responsibility in connecting communities and sharing information. The Roundtable enables practicing journalists from ASEM countries to share such challenges and best practices from their respective regional perspectives.
In view of ASEM’s 20th Anniversary in 2016, two supplementary events (journalists’ workshops), will be held, one in Asia and the other in Europe. These events will serve as a curtain raiser and as part of the preparation in the lead to lead to the 11th ASEM Summit of Heads of State and Government to be held in Ulam Bator, Mongolia’s capital.
- Create a unified, coherent event identity for the 8th ASEF Editors’ Roundtable to be applied across several publicity materials
- Develop the layout and design of the final publication, as well as discussion papers and booklets.
- Profile the ASEF Journalists’ Colloquium as a quality international gathering capable of attracting maximum amount of applications from senior journalists.
The examples below are a small glimpse of branding concepts from the first phase. At the end of the project, in the Autumn of 2016, we will create a portfolio profile with all the final documents for the 3 locations, Belgium, China and Mongolia.
